CMSimpleRealBlog 1.0 released
Hallo,
there is a real WebLog Solution based on CMSimple_XH 1.3 available, punctual as a Christmas present to the CMSimple Community .
CMSimpleRealBlog is a complete Solution based on CMSimple_XH 1.3 and 2 new CMSimple plugins named RealBlog (blog functions) and Comments (comment functions).
The plugin RealBlog is based on the well known plugin AdvancedNews from Jan Kanters.
The plugin Comments is based on the plugin uBlog from Markus Vetter.
Many thanks to both plugin developers for the permission to use the basic code of theirs plugins for the development of CMSimpleRealBlog.
CMSimpleRealBlog is ready to start blogging immediately. Download, unzip, upload, give writing permissions to some files and folders and start blogging. Blogpage, archive page and the page for a RSS feed are prepared, in the left sidebar are the last 4 blog entries visible (if there are 4 blog entries existing) and a demo blog entry and a demo comment are written.
Unfortunately the project page is in German only, I have no time at the moment to translate all to English. If somebody would like to translate the projekt page, especially the docs, to an acceptable English, please contact me, also if you have translated the language files of RealBlog and Comments to another language.

Re: CMSimpleRealBlog 1.0 released
Nice Job!
I know CMSimple is not made for this, but is there a way (using register_XH and the multi-language feature?) to enable more than one user to make blog-entries ?

Re: CMSimpleRealBlog 1.0 released
I am not sure and I don't know what plans has Gert with this with this excellent plugin. But as for now - any "multi-admin" is not possible. Maybe in v2.x will something more possible in these terms. The reason is, that adding new blog entries is only possible in admin mode.

But it's awful to ask without any effort to find the answer yourself.

Hallo, CMSimple_XH is a one admin system, and so CMSimpleRealBlog also. I have not planned to add secondary admins to the System.Tata wrote:I am not sure and I don't know what plans has Gert

Re: CMSimpleRealBlog 1.0 released
hello thanks for this plug. i just found and try the realblog_xh 1.1.
seen that i'm using a template with a central column fix width (500 px) but when i'm editing a new the width is larger that this, going under the right column.
I try to give a look at the stylesheet but is out of my knowledge. Can you explain me how can i reduce it or force to the width of the central column ?

Re: CMSimpleRealBlog 1.0 released
Try one of the standard templates of CMSimple_XH.
If the problem doesn't exist with the standard template, your template is the problem.

Re: CMSimpleRealBlog 1.0 released
the template was one of the standard ... is the cmsimple1024pxXH.
I use the one that come with the main release of cmsimple_xh that cames with the news on the right side.
the same template in cmsimplerealblog doesn't has it but you can see that the width is larger then the horizontal menu on the top center columns
