[Solved] Concerning oEDIT - modified

Post by mortimer » Mon Dec 01, 2008 2:59 pm

Hello,

First, thanks to Peter Andreas for his work, his coding is among the bests and his simple CMS is really very nice.

I have installed oEDIT - modified.
It is said to include a horizontal ruler.
I have no such button and I think I have lost the rubber one.
Warning and H5 H6 are working.

The menu as found here: http://www.cmsimplewiki.com/doku.php/ed ... t_modified

And mine:

Is there something wrong with my file ?
Except that, everything is fine.

Best regards

Are You sure You installed the file correctly?
What happens if You rename the current oedit.php to, say, oedit.php.sav before installing the modified one?

Best wishes

Beate

Thank you for your answer.
I have tried every way, new downloads and various uploads, with no success.
The PHP version of my server is 4.3.8, coud that have an incidence ?
Whatever, it's not a great problem, everything essential is fonctionnal. ;)

Best regards

I think, you will get these two missing buttons from CMSimple v2.8 on. Earlier versions will not show the buttons. Which version are you using?

Check /cmsimple/image.php. They are hard-coded.

Thanks, I have found the buttons in image.php.
I have installed CMSimple on another server with PHP 5.2.6, nothing has changed, buttons are always missing.
As I'm not a PHP expert, I can't help. Sorry.
Whatever, everything else is working fine. ;)

Best regards

I suggest to use another editor as OEDIT is quite limited

Have you tried my CMSimple SE 3.2? It has the oEdit with the buttons and tinyMCE. It works on all testservers i installed it to! I would like to know if you also experience these problems with my download.

Thanks for your advices.
I have tried the various editors and I have kept Oedit and FCKEditor which suits me perfectly.
Switcheditor allows us to use both of them.
Everything is fine, thanks again.

Best regards
