- How do I add an attachment?
- Can this function be disabled so the title Attach file: and the dropdownbox are no longer visible?
- What is the 'Restore' box and what to do with this?
Thanks!

Restore and attachments are explained on the same page where you downloaded the Newsletter. Please let me know if the explanation is not good enough.

Hi Jerry,
OK, attachment option doesn't need removal because it's a nice feature, but it is not clear to me how I can upload something to the /attachments folder. I could use ftp of course, but maybe there is another possibility directly via cmsimple or plugin itself, like we do this with images & downloads. I already CHMOD 777 this folder.
After reading through your explanation I can indeed find description of restore button, obsolete question from me, sry.
Just one more thing; this plugin is really nice work, it works perfectly.
Thanks for your effort!

Re: NewsletterXH how to..
Maybe it would the easiest way to make a subfolder within downloads and hardcode it in the plugin. Then the installation plugins would look:Nicky wrote:OK, attachment option doesn't need removal because it's a nice feature, but it is not clear to me how I can upload something to the /attachments folder.
newsletter_XH.zip
[downloads]
...[newsletter_att]
[plugins]
...[newsletter]
In this case the default functions of CMSimple_xh mayt be used or the filemanagers of external editors.

It's no shame to ask for an answer if all efforts failed.
But it's awful to ask without any effort to find the answer yourself.

Or just use downloads folder which can be accessed by CMSimple admin panel. Just change attachment path to ./downloads.

This may make problems when using other plugins - e.g. wdir. FCKeditor also stores some files in [downloads]. Having a special subfolder for Newsletter seems reasonable to me.jerry wrote:Or just use downloads folder which can be accessed by CMSimple admin panel. Just change attachment path to ./downloads.

Or even better would be an upload function of the plugin (in next version?) which would then upload where it is defined right now.
