Hi!
I tried to search, but was unable to find any information on this topic.
Sometimes designing a layout based on tables requires you to have an empty cell. Some browsers do not show these empty cells at all, so I've always used a non breaking space inside the cell to get the layout right. Like this for example: "<TD WIDTH="123" HEIGHT="123"> </TD>"
When you save a layout like this in CMSimple, it works ok... until you go and change something in the layout. Because when you open the template code again, CMSimple seems to delete all the non braking spaces from the code, resulting the lay-out breaking down with browsers that don't show these empty cells.
Is this a bug or is it some kind of a statement agaist the non breaking space? Does anyone have a way to go round or get rid of this problem?
Non breaking space dissapears from the template?
Re: Non breaking space dissapears from the template?
The most secure option is to edit the template offline and re-upload it after changing it
you have no guaranty that the configuration/edit template-function will save the non breaking space...

This way of creating a layout is also very outdated. instead of the non breaking space you could alsop define the cells width and height with css.

Indeed very old thread and somewhat outdated technique, but FWIW...
Yes. See http://cmsimpleforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=5876-tjt- wrote:Is this a bug
