Because of some security issues of older FCKeditor versions I have made an update
of FCKeditor4CMSimple with the latest core-version 2.6.4.1.
Beside the security bugfixes, this version of FCKeditor has a really nice spell-checking feature.
This is an important security release. Upgrading is strongly recommended.
You can download the new version FCKeditor4CMSimple v. 2.3.0 as usual from Connies server:
http://www.webdeerns.de/en/?FCKeditor_for_CMSimple
Please read the readme.txt in the root folder of the zip to get informations on how to upgrade
Report bugs, problems or other issues about this FCKeditor4CMSimple security update to version 2.3.0 here in this thread.
Thanks,
Holger
Security update for FCKeditor4CMSimple to version 2.3.0
Re: Security update for FCKeditor4CMSimple to version 2.3.0
Hello Holger,
I saw that the change that was proposed here is not part of the new version. Is it planned to add this to the next version or is there a special reason not to include this change?
Best Regards,
Sordon

there's no special reason. I only forgot to add it , but it's already included in the soon comming version 2.4.0.
Thanks for the hint,

Hi wosee, wosee wrote:I have got the site's Background in the editor window since I've updated.
that's not a bug, it's a feature ... and it's integrated since Version 2.2.0 beta 3 - 2008-06-29.
Please have a look into the shipped readme1st.txt:
The $Use_Template_Css variable is by default set to true. If you change this variable to "false" (in /cmsimple/fckeditor.php), the settings in /FCKeditor/custom_configurations/custom_fck_editorarea.css will be used.readme1st.txt wrote:To adjust the editarea to your website style, it's recommended to apply the
basic css - settings of your template to
/FCKeditor/custom_configurations/custom_fck_editorarea.css.
Anyway, you can try to use your template-css by setting "$Use_Template_Css = true;"
in /cmsimple/fckeditor.php
