FCKeditor vs plugin-loader

Post by regiosport » Fri Nov 14, 2008 9:37 am

Since a few weeks I edit in CMSimple with FCKeditor, great tool.
Now I install the pluginloaders beta11 (new). There was no possibility (no option) to start a pluging with the loader.
First I thought I did something wrong, til I changed the editor. In config I delete the name FCKeditor so the default editor was going to work.
And "oeps" there was my pluginloader. So my conclusion is:
The pluginloader doesn't work when FCKeditor is on. Can someone give me more information or solution.

Kind regards

Hi RegioSport,

that's strange and I can't believe that.
But I've not tested the original Pluginloader beta11, because I use a patched Version to see PHP errors and warnings.

I'll make some tests and post my results here.
But just to stay clear: Could you please post your
CMSimple Version and a list of all installed plugins and/or addons?

Sorry Holger,

I installed menumanager en simplerss. But in FCKeditor I can't see any plugin.
So there no start-up option in FCK.

I've now installed a fresh CMSimple 3.2, pluginloader 2.0 beta 11, menumanger and simplerss.
But sorry, I can't find a problem.

Maybe you've missed that, with an external editor, the plugin-dropdown list is not visible in edit mode.
Switch to WYSIWYG mode and it must work!

i still have this problem: the plugin is not visible in the editor, although i have the menumanager-plugin loaded and neiter in edit-mode, nor in wysywyg-mode. my configs: cmsimple 3.2, plugin_loader_v3.0beta1. i also tried the plugin_loader_v2.0beta11, but there was no difference.
can you help me?

SOLVED: my mistake was the wrong place of the index.php - it was one hierarchy too deep in the folder structure.
