FCKeditor4CMSimple 2.2.0 finally released

Post by Connie » Sun Jul 13, 2008 12:56 pm

Today we released the final version 2.2.0 of FCKEditor4CMSimple!

The new version is for download at http://www.webdeerns.de/en/?FCKeditor_for_CMSimple or at the german page http://www.webdeerns.de/?FCKeditor4CMSimple

The version has a lot of advantages and some bugfixes, supports multi-lingual-internal-linking and works with Opera 9.0 and higher as well.

Read the changelog http://www.webdeerns.de/?FCKeditor4CMSimple|Changelog and enjoy the new version!

PS: because the new version is out, the former forum-topic is locked, so please add your congratulations, comments, or possible bug reports here! :)

Hi Connie,

many thx for this great integrated Solution FCKEditor for CMSimple. I've installed strictly at your manual and most of the implemented feature are quite correct but I have three challenges:

1. I can only see 2 internal Site if I press the sitelink button! Can you explain this?
2. If I use the upload feature to create a Subfolder I got an error message like this: you do not have the ....
3. If I use the upload feature I can't see any file but the folder have a lot of Image-Files

Please give me a Message what I can do?
Mario

1) I cannot explain everything... but:

when you see only 2 sites, could it be that the content.htm is not correctly using <h1> and </h1>?
We noticed today that pages like <H1> and </h1> are not identified by the plugin...
so these pages which are not enclosed in <H1> and </H1> are not identified...

have a look at content.htm

2)If I use the upload feature to create a Subfolder I got an error message like this: you do not have the ....
this all is dependent from your server configuration (as explained in the manual)
so I suggest to create the folders using a FTP-program, set the rights (as explained in the manual) and then upload files

3) If I use the upload feature I can't see any file but the folder have a lot of Image-Files

this is also a configuration of your host.
The script has other rights than the user...

without correct info about URL, hoster, Server configuration I can only suggest to contact the hoster's support

good luck, Connie

Ups!
I've never thought about mixed upper / lower case html-tags.

But I'll do a bugfix in a future version (if I remember on that ;) ).

@Connie,

oh yeah in the content is a upper and lower mix of HTML-Tags. I changed this and surprise there are a lot of Sitelink-Tags. This is a great Step to solve the problem but I'am very interested to know it is being caused by .... I would like to analyze that and I will post my Issue.

The furthermore challenges I will check

@Holger,

did you implement a bugfix in the case contruction or should I do it to myself?

With kind regards
Mario :D

IMHO the whole "case construction" must be replaced by a nice little and more flexible function
(for example use of $cf['menu']['levels'] should be integrated in future versions).

The Version 2.2.0 seems to be stable and without much issues.
So there's no need to work on it at the moment.

But you're welcome to post or PM your fixes or improvements and help us
to "keep the pot boiling" :) .

ok, I would like to do my best to implement a Function to handle this scenario. That will be done after my Vaction.

I've found that the mixed <Hx> </hx> tags caused by a bug in the Menumanager plugin.
It happens when you drag'n drop a page to another menulevel.
For now only tested with Menumanager 2007 - (Club-)Version and latest Firefox 2 on WAMPP.

In the meantime I wrote a little fix for the internal linking of FCKeditor.
It would be available with the next beta.

Holger

Edit:
A bugfix of the menumanager plugin can be found here:
