Editor switching

Post by Tata » Wed Nov 27, 2024 4:55 pm

I have found this old post:
viewtopic.php?f=16&t=561&p=3058&hilit=s ... itor#p3058
Often, when there's a need to change something directly in the code, the codeview is used. But in this "onecolor" source the right position is not that easy to find. The codeeditor plugin helps a lot. But switching to this second editor is not the most comfortable way. So I think about three possibilities:
1. Use a switch-buttom (similar to switchdebug button and plce it e.g. next to it
codeview.png
2. Make the codeview with a dropdown list (codeview | syntax highlight)
codeview2.png
3. Make the syntax highlight the standard codeview.

Your opinion?

It's no shame to ask for an answer if all efforts failed.
But it's awful to ask without any effort to find the answer yourself.

Number 3: Syntax Highlight as standard (why not?).
