Hi,
I've been working with CMSimple for the past few days trying to get it to work for a client. I was working on it using both a local host and my personal host at 1&1.com, a linux host. When everything was working fine, I put the exact same code on my clients website and found that, while the content was still organized the correct way, the log-in failed. Whenever I pressed submit it would freeze up and eventually load a blank white page. I tried a few tweaks to no avail. THinking I had messed something up in the transfer, I tried downloading a fresh version of CMSimple straight to his host on GoDaddy with the same problem.
You can see the problem here: http://balloonhouse.com/cmsimple3_2/ . Just press log-in and type the password, which is still test (as this is the original CMSimple 3.2).
What could be causing this? Is it because he is using Windows-based hosting? I couldn't find anything in the documentation that suggested similar problems, so I thought I'd turn here. If anyone has any ideas, let me know.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks,

Having Problems With GoDaddy
Re: Having Problems With GoDaddy
did you try the different possibilities for Log in?
Maybe you defined "Auth" in the configuration and the host does not offer that
try to change to another way of registering
check the manual at http://www.cmsimple.com:
http://www.cmsimple.com/?Installer%27s_ ... ity_issues
and especially this:
http://www.cmsimple.com/?Installer%27s_ ... thenticate
I think the last part is important, concerning IIS, and when you cannot configure that, ask your hoster's support and give them these informations.
you can always change the option in editing the config.php and re-upload it

Re: Having Problems With GoDaddy
Thank you so much for your quick response!
I had just downloaded the fresh version and it didn't work, so I hadn't messed around with the config file or the log-in possibilities.
I was able to get around this problem by using CMsimple as the core engine, and then using CushyCMS to edit the content/content.htm file and having CMSimple split it apart into the correct pages.
Thanks for your instructions, I'm sure they would work fine, too!
