just give me a hand..
There was a poll almost 3 years ago, and not implemented.
There was a plugin available for this?
Is there still a demand for this?

Yes. It seems everybody agreed to have the feature, but nobody did implement it.

There still is: http://simplesolutions.dk/?Remove_Expired_Page. But AFAIK the plugin uses CMSimple scripting, and can't be configured in the "Page" tab. Merging this functionality to page_params seems to be reasonable, and Jerry has already done that long ago.

Is this not a different thing? For me page scheduling is the ability to set a start and end date pagewise for publishing. If this can be done by a plugin which is already developed, why not.
To keep it simple, for me the ability to publish/unpublish a page was enough.

Yes, you're right. The page scheduling would be an extension of the expired page plugin.

Actually for me too (at least until now). But it seems that this functionality is at least sometimes needed. If I'm not mistaken, Markus developed a similar plugin long ago: sContent.

And of course the page scheduling could be developed and offered as separate plugin, but it might be irritating for users to be able to publish/unpublish a page via page_params and schedule the publishing via another plugin.

Would it be difficult just to extend the "page_params" by public/non_public/waiting(radio) and start/end date (date_pickers)?
If so, then:
- public(on) or non_public(on) would require no other details
- waiting would require at least the start date (e.g. a page with ChristmasCard)

The following is a screenshot of a modified page_params version, Jerry did send me nearly a year ago:

What a coincidence? 8-) I love Jerry, being not a man, we would undestand each other so well... :P

So you should vote for it on the roadmap. ;)

Hi Tata

Does it make difference if the page is published or public? Scheduling will be a part of CMSimple_XH v. 1.6 (probably without a date picker).

Maybe only a wrong used expression. I meant published, of course. And the date pickers were meant only as the cherry on the top :-) to make things comfortable. Sometime the users have no clue about date formats and then writing the date wrong can result in bugs and complains. Sure - a hint about the proper date format will help a lot.
