There was a big article on AMP in a German computer magazine... and it seems, Google is only presenting a "Proof of Concept".
Good luck building a CMSimple AMP Plugin:
No java script, no external css nor inline css, only css in the header limited to 50k chars, no web forms, i.e. no mail form.

You need a plug-in more than me.

Generally, such a plugin would not be possible at all, as svasti already had elaborated. Nonetheless, it might be possible to have such a plugin with several restrictions (somewhat similar to the Makeoffline plugin). Interestingly, there's an AMP plugin available for WordPress, but it seems to work only for posts but not for pages.

I've read up on AMP, and I have come to the conclusion, that I won't support it in any way (at least in its current state). For some of the reasons see https://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/05/1 ... d_bad_bad/.
