Dann am besten PRs oder wenigstens Issues einreichen. Vorläufige Diskussion hier im Forum ist ja gut und sinnvoll, aber da geht eben doch schnell was vergessen.

Funktioniert aber.
(Jetzt habe ich auch begriffen, dass <span> eigentlich immer passt. Gut so!)

Ja, allerdings eben nur, wenn das <span> Element temporär während des Editierens eingefügt wird.

Genau.
Und, falls ich das richtig sehe, wird <span> ja wirklich nur temporär eingefügt.
Am Ende steht im Code nur noch {{{...}}} und so sollte es doch sein - oder?
Praktisch genau wie beim Placeholder-Plugin für den CKE.

Was noch nicht funktioniert:
Mehrere (Plugin-)Aufrufe auf einer Seite. Nach dem Speichern bleibt nur der letzte übrig. Alle anderen werden gelöscht.

Ich auch nicht, bei mir funktionierts.

Im Code (Quelltextansicht im Editor) steht schon noch das span, in der content.htm wird nur das div mit dem Plugin-Aufruf gespeichert, passt.

Hm, die Version von 2016 kann ich gar nicht finden :D
Im Ernst:
Ich muss wohl um Vergebung bitten. Heute, mit einer jungfräulichen XH 1.7.2-Installation, ist alles bestens!
Urlaub fortsetzen! ;-)
Wahrscheinlich waren in der alten XH-Version noch Reste von den vielen Versuchen.
