Plugin request: captcha utility plugin

Hello community,

is anybody interested in developing a general usable captcha utility-plugin?

The problem

On many websites, there are different kinds of interaction with visitors. Several of them require spam protection in form of a captcha. AFAIK currently all those plugins use their own captcha, so
1. the look of different captchas is different
2. each of these plugins must bring their own (limited?) captcha
3. all these captcha code & data must be stored on the user's webspace

The suggested solution

There could be a single solution, published as a general utility plugin (under a liberal license), which other plugin authors could require (see jQuery4CMSimple plugin). Perhaps it might even be used from the CMSimple core, if installed, to replace the simple captcha code in mailform?
