New owner of CMSimple

All royalties, intellectual rights and domain names for CMSimple has been taken over by Gert Ebersbach.

Gert intends to keep the CMS alive with the same spirit as the system was developed by me.

The purchaser is obligated to keep the current source code and documentation available at cmsimple.org for the coming years and may take over new development, with or without GPL, as long as the old GPL versions are kept available for free download.

The use of the CMSimple name mainly in combination with other words has been approved for other CMSimple-projects, translations and forks, as long as it keeps to the AGPL/GPL and has a very clear and readable reference to cmsimple.org. It is to be kept this way in future.

The copyright notice in all files may be modified to the name of the purchaser. Documentation and translations are public domain and may not be copyrighted.

The purchaser may use the different domains for marketing of products and services, which have no connection to or are in competition with CMSimple, even cmsimple.org as long as the current source code and documentation is kept available for users there.

No information about prior customers is given to the purchaser, including e-mails, which have been used for registration of resellers/licences in the database.

The purchaser of CMSimple is not obligated to sell commercial licences in the future. Also, the list of resellers and registered domains with links at http://www.cmsimple.org/?Resellers may be taken down by the new owner.

My best wishes for the future of CMSimple and to Gert. Thanks to the CMSimple community for many good years and all your support.

Hello Peter,

many thanks for the good cooperation ;)

Hello Community,

the domain transfers are in progress, but it will take some time.

The .dk hoster was the quickest: http://cmsimple.dk

The good old classic CMSimple is available in the archive: http://cmsimple.dk/archives/cmsimple_old/

CMSimpleSubsites will be published in a few days as CMSimple 4.0.

Now I have a lot of work to do, until the new Website is online, see you later here in the forum,

Gert

Hi Peter, hi Gert,

my congratulations! :)

I'm very pleased to read that the documentation (I hope the old forum is included) will be kept available for users. And I'm very excited about the future of CMSimple.

I wish both of you the best luck!

Christoph

Hello Gert

May I ask you to think of giving the old installations (before 4.1) a chance of help by opening the URL:

Hi Gert,

the page is still there in the archive: http://cmsimple.org/archives/cmsimple_o ... 27s_Manual.

You might consider adding a rewrite rule that forwards to the archived page. I suppose Hugo is asking, as the back-end of CMSimple (classic) has a HELP button above the editor, that links to http://www.cmsimple.org/?User%27s_Manual&language=en (the language selection would not work, though, but at least the English content would be available).

Hello Gert

I'm talking about:
When I download CMSimple version 3.4 from your archive the file cms.php contains:
<td align="center"><a href="http://www.cmsimple.org/?User%27s_Manua ... uage='.$sl.'" target="_blank">'.$tx['editmenu']['help'].'</a></td>
Could you please make these files accessible?.

I believe the files can be found here:
I hope you are aware that the move of files have left all old CMSimple users without a set of help files.

Regards
Hugo
