Hi Newbie

Don't give up :-) Soon it will be more easy.

Well, your temp server must have some kind of address, like www.your_servers_name.com or perhaps even an IP number 127.0.0.1. I hope you know the correct address.

Next thing you have to find out is what folder, (or directory or liberary) you have uploaded CMSimple to on your temp server. I hope you have kept the directory stucture from the zip file.

In your browser you will have to write something like:
www.your_servers_name.com/name_of_upload_folder/

If you get it right, then you should see your new CMSimple for the first time. And then you can click on login and use the password test.

if it doesn't work then try to tell us a little more about your installation.

Best regards
Bjorn

Hi Gavin,

here is your website: http://test.jmhcycleXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX/

You should change the name of the installation folder - choose something without underscores.

So now you got the URL right :D

Next thing you have to find out is to set right permissions to the files that should be writeable. You should give full permissions (chmod 777) to both the folders and the files placed in these folders: cmsimple/languages, content, templates/default, and templates/default(also subfolders). Finally also config.php and log.txt the cmsimple directory .

And then you should change the password form test to something else.

Good luck!!
