Is CMSimple_XH working with PHP 8.0 ? If not, are there plans to update ?

Thanks and regards

There are some known issues which are not yet resolved, but we're working on an update. Note though, that some plugins (and maybe templates) may take longer to be ready for PHP 8.0. I'm actually more concerned about that.

The original question is now 9 months old so i wondered if there are any updates? php v8 is getting more common on a lot of hosting platforms and it won't be long before its unavoidable
I'm pretty confident that CMSimple_XH 1.7.5 will be out by the end of the month, if not earlier. Still, I'm more concerned regarding many plugins which may not be ready for PHP 8.0.

I think this will happen when XH supports PHP 8, then there will be more messages about plugins and templates, so that these can be addressed concretely.

I made some tests locally with PHP8. CMSimple_XH-1.7.4 works without any visible problems. Then I started installing plugins after alphabet (without plugin calls in the content so far). Now I stopped with floatingblocks plugin by Jerry. The page works, but the "hamburger" appears (not functional), independent on viewport. There is some conflict in CSS or some JS for sure. Today, I probably continue with other plugins.
