Addendum:
Since CMSimple_XH 1.7.3 there is a changed core.css included, which unfortunately also has influence on several existing templates and their layout. Especially the mailform, the login page and sometimes parts of the backend administration are affected. This results in a different display than originally intended by the template designer.

Should you have/detect any problems in this respect, please let us know.

The update to version 7.4 went well, but with the Hi_updatecheck plugin, the check fails only for cmsimple_xh and Hi_updatecheck ...
thanks if you have any idea to solve this problem.

Welcome to the forum.
Please try the update check again at a later time.
The servers might also be unavailable from time to time.
If the problem still occurs, please report it here.

Thank you for your interest in my problem, but this problem is quite annoying, because I have another different cmsimple site, also in 1.7.4, and which successfully checks all updates. I don't think the servers contacted are the problem...

Is the other site where it works on the same server?
Otherwise, please go to "Settings - Info". You might get some hints there.
Especially the last point "fsockopen" would be interesting.

We have to approach the error. The update check problem appears rarely - you have to be patient.
