CMSimple_XH–Forum

There is an ongoing discussion about positioning CMSimple_XH for the future in the German section. I think that the non German speaking audience should be able to express their opinion as well.

One point is renaming the CMS to avoid confusion with CMSimple. An argument against renaming is that we might loose people who are currently using CMSimple(_XH) when they want to update their websites. We could redirect old CMSimple_XH domains and place prominent notes about the namechange at the homepages.

The most important thing for refreshing CMSimple_XH's cooperate identity and enabling a real user friendly access to the CMS is to acquire (wo)manpower for the team. I for my part am helping to translate texts from German to English. It would be great if people offered some services to make CMSimple_XH a more professional project. Note that your help would be completely based on how much time you're ready to put into it. There are no strings attached, every effort counts.

The greatest asset of CMSimple_XH is the community driven character of it. So let's make it a group effort to give the developers more time for the development!

Since I live in Russia and intend to use CMSimpleXH on my sites, I can write a couple of articles for this site about the current state of XH.
Just tell me how to properly name our favorite CMS?
And I can't find an article about CMSimple_XH on wikipedia. I think it's wrong. I hope write this article.

Well, there are articles about CMSimple which is a predecessor of CMSimple_XH; CMSimple 4 is developeded further based on CMSimple_XH 1.5.3. See also viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5293. There is also a somewhat old article regarding Differences between CMSimple_XH and CMSimple 4.x. It seems to me that updating the CMSimple articles might be more reasonable than to create new articles for CMSimple_XH. The English Wikipedia article is okay (albeit somewhat out-dated); the German article not so much (but I've given up to improve it long ago; see the version history).

As fatal I see the wrong link to the German Website of CMSimple_XH, which is redirected to cmsimple.org. Gert has apparently secured the domain "cmsimple-xh.de" (also "cmsimple-xh.com")

Yeah, a long and sad story. I'd rather not rake it up again, though.

1. Today I wrote a letter to the owner of http://cmsimple.ru. There are no contacts of the owner of cmsimple-xh.ru on the site.
2. I also registered the domain http://cmsimplexh.ru/, on which I hope to make the Russian site CMSimple_XH. I ask for tips on filling. And brief information about our strategy for the coming years.
2.1. The site is already running. I took the template I liked from Oldnema. Roadmap CMSimple_XH found. Comments and advice accepted with joy.
