I don't want to complain, but I think with this logo there could be trouble with Gert. I can darkly remember that there have been several discussions about it.
Why don't you just use XH, we have that on the page as touch icons and as a logo, also Twitter, Google+ and in the forum.

I liked this logo because it feels like a real continuity from CMSimple of Peter Harteg. . If the goal was to tell the world that the true heir of the CMSimple spirit is CMSimple_XH, Then there is no better logo.

and I am sorry not to be able to find the sourcce files of the logos presented in the discussion. But there were more of them. I have only found some of PNGs. But I remember having made a logotyp list of about 5 variants in various color combinations and shapes.

I don't question the fact that the logo is a design by Tata. It's not primarily about like it.
Gert has all rights to CMSimple with including the logo.
Tata should know that, because he already had the discussion with Gert.
That concerns the detached representation of CMSimple and XH, because not CMSimple_XH and probably also the three lines.

So it's about legal aspects.

Aber sei mir bitte nicht böse, dass ich das für CMSimple nicht nutzen werde. Ich habe mich, wie schon gesagt, gegen ein Logo entschieden. "CMSimple" ist eine starke Wortmarke, die nach meiner Meinung kein Logo braucht.

Hi Tata,

thanks for your efforts, but I do not want to have a logo for CMSimple. CMSimple is a word mark, and does not need a logo.

If other CMSimple offshoots wants to have a logo, then the name of this offshoot should be clear visible in this logo.

So in the CMSimple_XH logo following should be visible undivided:

CMSimple_XH

PS: I believe this is also in the interest of CMSimple_XH.

And I think, that the future developers of CMSimple_XH also do not want, that CMSimple_XH will be confused with CMSimple.

I think there is no reason to open any logo related discussion here again. I have published my variant only and after Gert's consent has been stated here in forum. As I have studied the art and as I was aware of all points which a logo shall match, I included as much infos into the logo as possible.
CMS - to make clear that it is the logo of a content managment system
Simple - to emphasize the simplicity of the CMS
CMSimple - the word mark of the genuine CMS of which has our system evolved
CMS, XH - to emphasize XHTML capability of this CMS
Graphic - the genuine logo as the tribute to Peter Harteg
That's all. And I don't see any legal failures there. If there would have been any, Gert would protest immediately.
