This is not particularly related to the PHP version, but rather a general

I've
fixed the bug. As it's pretty harmless, I'm not going to release a new version, but of course everybody is free to make the respective patch against Video_XH 1.0.1.

I've just released
Video_XH 1.1.
I've fixed some bugs (among them the one reported by olape above; thanks for reporting the issue!) and updated to a newer version of Video.js. See the
changelog for details.
