Seperator in hi_updatecheck

Can the separator "," be changed or how to in hi_updatecheck. Standard comma can't be used in e.g. Addional_infos.
Maybe the "|" or "#" any other would b e reasonable.
EDIT: Actually it's the separator in version.nfo files.
