Advanced register

Post by Kapunen » Fri Aug 01, 2008 5:23 pm

Hey folks

I've searched many places but can't find what I need:

A kind of "Register", but with many more information about the person who register. PLUS a page that shows some of all these informations...

Example:
When you register, you must fill in these:

Name
Username
Password
Password confirm
Age
City
Bla-bla 1
Bla-bla 2
Bla-bla 3
Bla-bla 4
Bla-bla 5

The page that shows some of these inputs, should then show:

Username
Age
City
Bla-bla 1
Bla-bla 2
Bla-bla 3
Bla-bla 5

- or what I choose to be shown.

In big big hopes for a solution...

Do you need a mod of the Register-Plugin?

Hi Holger.

I use this at the moment: Register plugin version 2.4 by Carsten Heinelt (cmsimple.heinelt.eu)

I want the plugin to register more info about the person - PLUS; there must be a site to display with some of informations on the registred users. It must be so, that I decide wich info is to be desplayed.

If you want to have this kind of feature, I think you have to connect CMSimple with MySQL which allows you to perform queries in order to select the information you want to get as output. A description of how to solve this problem can be found at: http://www.cmsimplewiki.com/doku.php/ti ... _and_mysql . I used this procedure once to generate a site for a little grapewine agency. Since it is already bankrupt, I can't show you the result anymore. (The site worked well! A possible malfunction of this solution was not the reason for their bankruptcy!!!! it was the incompetence of their SEO ;) )
