Single page admininistration

Post by simpleSolutions.dk » Mon Aug 27, 2018 8:41 am

Hi
Is there any CMSimple_XH 1.7.2 plugin that allows different users to administer a selected page, or even better some few selected pages, on the CMSimple site instead for the whole site, ie user A has only access to administrate page 1, User B has only access to administrate page 5? The site administrator can still administrate all pages.

Have a look at Extedit_XH.

Right now tested with CMSimple_XH 1.7.2.
1. created dummy page Exedit.
2. added the call {{{extedit('tester');}}} for a member 'tester'.
3. Logged in as 'tester' via memberpages. Shal the respective page be assigned as a memberspage?
The 'Edit' link doesn't show up on the page.
4. Logged in via register plugin / thing works fine.
There is to note that the content shall preferably be written in the Exedit window, or it will the occur twice in edit mode.

It's no shame to ask for an answer if all efforts failed.
But it's awful to ask without any effort to find the answer yourself.

It shouldn't matter for Extedit_XH whether the page is actually a memberspage. Support for Memberpages may simply have been broken (what would be a bug). I'll investigate later.

I can't reproduce this; unless you mean that both the extedit contents as well as the normal contents are displayed (which is by design).

Hi Christoph
Thx. It's exactly what I was looking for. Works perfect with register plugin, except of uploading images where I get an error message "Failed to write file to disk.".
I try to find the reason some other day.

Well, image upload works too. Must be some error with the first image I tried to upload, probably too big.

The plugins Memberpages 3.6.5 and Extedit_XH 1.1 work fine together, but I don't use them at a single page.
