ALSO Plugin Bugs?

I tried to use the also plugin (see wiki) to embed individual pictures in the template.
The following problems occured:

• - only got it run after embed the call into a stripslashes(..) call - otherwise after storing backslashes are added endlessly.
  - doesn't work with header with umlauts "?Vorwärtsgehen", after storing all "also" data for headers with umlauts are gone.
  - since only the headers are stored and not also the path to them I doupt that it will work when the same headers appear in different places ("?level1.1:example" vs. "?level1.2:example".

Does anybody habe improvement about this?
Otherwise it's rather a pity because it looks like the author did a big effort to realize this.
