Sorry, I tested it, before I made my statement above, using the same template which you used. By the way, it had been tested a lot by myself, since I made all this stuff up ;)
So, there must be a mistake somewhere in your configuration. Maybe, you test it without any plugins - I did it. Your gallery plugin uses the "body" tag in its css statemanet even twice. Maybe it interferes?

EDIT: Hm, I see, you are using CMSimple 3.2 SE. I have not tested this version. I tested only with the normal CMSimple 3.2.

hi Till,

just letting you know that all is well ( for now... ) , after a lot of fiddling i actualy removed the csshover and my template is still validating nicely in w3c!! :D

i seem to have a habit of missing things and speaking too soon but please let me know if it validates for you or am i dreaming?
