Hi,
please let me refer to a remark in
one of my previous postings:
3) invalid login attempts are not logged. I consider this a security problem - invalid login attempts should be logged, and the entry should contain more information (IP address and invalid password) in order to be able to track back a potential intruder.
What do You think?

Beate,
I share this opinion.
The log is one of the few tools for the admins and I think it should log these wrong logins
it is a great suggestion, I hope Peter reads this posting!

It's not a bug.
But Peter should take over your suggestion as a useful feature.
