Maybe that's no bug but expected functionig. Anyway:
Page/Page template assigning to chosen page or subpage works fine if:

• themeswitcher is not installed
• themeswicher is installed with $plugin_cf['themeswitcher']['prefer_page_theme']="true";.

If $plugin_cf['themeswitcher']['prefer_page_theme']="";, &themeswitcher_select=alt_template works fine but individual template settings in Page/Page template are ignored.
Testing at http://169new.cmsimple.sk (comparing the Demo and Templaty subpages).
If interested to test it too, I'll PM the password.

Yes, that is intentional. I suggest you set prefer_page_theme=true, but only choose a page specific template, if that is really desired or necessary.
