Uploader_XH

Postby cmb » Mon Dec 05, 2011 7:30 pm

Hello community,

I've just released Uploader_XH 1alpha1. It's available from my website.

Uploader_XH facilitates the upload of files to the images, downloads, userfiles and media folders. Contrary to the internal filemanager it allows queued and chunked upload, so it is an alternative for FTP, if you want to upload many and/or large files. It is not a filemanager, but could easily be used by those.

Uploader_XH couldn't be tested so far in various environments, and the interface for use by other plugins might change. It is a so called ALPHA version. Use with caution!

I'm interested in your feedback about the usability and usefulness of Uploader_XH, and what might be improved.

Hello Community,

I've just released Uploader_XH 1alpha2. It's available from my website.

Wolfgang reported, that it was not possible to use the selectboxes under IE. This bug is now fixed.

I'm still interested in your feedback about the usability and usefulness of Uploader_XH, and what might be improved.

Hello Community,

I've just released Uploader_XH 1alpha3. It's available on my website.

I've fixed a bug (not security related) regarding register_globals (reported by Tata), increased the security by prohibiting uploads to parent folders and made several other minor improvements. To all those daredevils who are using ALPHA software in a production environment: updating is recommended ;)

Any further feedback is welcome.

Hello Christopher, I have a question. Would it be possible to set "hard" choice of image size for uploading to the "large", "medium" and "small" without "blank" option which does not reduce the photo.? I do not know if I explain it properly, I just needed to disable the first option, ie one that figure is reduced. User blonde constantly forgets to choose the size and trying to upload photos to size "1x1 meter". I would like to "empty" option has disappeared and is offered as the first option "large".
Thank you, Josef.
Nobody knows how much time he has left ...

Hi Josef, hi Community,

I've found a bug in Uploader_XH 1alpha7 regarding the front-end use: the language and config files might not be properly included! I'll release 1alpha7 ASAP.

I'll make it a config option (something like default_resize) and will include this in 1alpha7.
