Can't create directory

I can upload images to my IMAGES directory. But when I want to include a picture somewhere in my text I can't do it. The problem is that during uploading the message is coming: CAN'T CREATE (SUB)DIRECTORY. Do I need to change something in my rights or what?

mm I understand y r confused...

the problem is that I can create a folder / directory. In my directory (IMAGES) are images which has been uploaded. Now I want to insert a picture (which has been uploaded in this directory IMAGES) from this directory into my text. But I get a error message that I can't create a folder. So the proces is stopped and I can not insert a picture. What do I have to change, or do I need to create a extra folder by FTP? New error messaGE: This connector is disabled. Please check the "editor/filemanager/connectors/php/config.php" file

Hi,

now I have the same problem with fckeditor too.
After opening the "Picture insert and edit" ( Bild einfügen/editieren ) and pressing the button Server search ( server durchsuchen ) i have got the error message :

Error creating folder "" (Can't create directory)

It is not possible to create a subdirectory. The same error occurs.

CMS version XH 1.1.3. I have also tested the problem with a new installation without any plugins, no modifications, fresh from the ZIP file. Permissions are set like the FAQ said.
The installation was copied from a other webserver and was working an the old server without problems.
I think it is a problem with the php user.

What can i do?

Is the installation made in the root or in some subdirectory?

I have the cms in the root directory ( http://www.mydomain.de ) and also tried it in a subdirectory ( http://www.mydomain.de/test/ ).
Both methodes have had no problems on my old webserver.

have you both installations active?

Delete one of them, maybe that one installation affects the other. You never should install a CMSimple in a subdirectory of another CMSimple-installation.

If you want to operate CMSimple-installations in subdirectories, you should not have a CMSimple-installation in the domain-root (never nest CMSimple installations).

they tests were on different servern.
Now every cms is in the root of a domain.

I have the same problem aswell, getting the same error when trying to insert an image to a page:
"Error creating folder "" (Can't create directory)"

I have the test site on a sub directory on my server, www.camperzone.nl/test2
www.camperzone.nl is running an older version of cmsimple aswell
www.camperzone.nl/test is running a older version aswell
So that means 3 cmsimple install on one server, the first 2 never had problems and have been running fine for over a year now.

I will try it on a local server tonight but I gues I will have the same problem.

Where can I find how I need to set the permissions for the different folders in my cmsimple dir on the web server..??
