Surprisingly in all common editors there are different ways to insert a download link via the linklist or the internal filebrowser.
- Downloadlink via filebrowser generates a link like: "./userfiles/downloads/mypdf.pdf"
- Downloadlink via link list generates a link like: "./?download=mypdf.pdf" (editor/links.php)
Bug or feature? As a feature, should it be documented somewhere? What are the benefits of one against the other?

Question to List of Downloadlinks in editors
Re: Question to List of Downloadlinks in editors
Feature:
The 1st leads directly to the file
(and in your example will open the pdf in the browser),
while the 2nd activates the download dialog of the browser
(in your example will either ask where to save the pdf or save the pdf in the downloads folder).

Yes. Our TinyMCE documentation in the Wiki could need some improvements anyway. However, the relevant section in the online documentation is already pretty good, and it might be more reasonable to translate this to English. Any volunteers?manu wrote:As a feature, should it be documented somewhere?
