[new plugin] multilang

Post by jze » Tue Jan 11, 2011 1:23 pm

As a result of a discussion in the German part of the forum I have created a plugin that improves linking between translated pages within one CMSimple-XH installation.

The Plugin "multilang" provides the function "languagemenu2" that can be used as a replacement for CMSimple's "languagemenu" function. The new language menu does not simply link to the homepage of a different language. Instead each page is directly linked if a translation exists.

You can download the plugin here: http://www.zedlitz.de/downloads/multilang-XH-0.1.zip

The help file in English: http://www.zedlitz.net/plugins/multilan ... elp_en.htm or in German: http://www.zedlitz.net/plugins/multilan ... elp_de.htm

Hello Jesper,

late reply, but nonetheless: I really like the idea of Multilang_XH. :D I think the working of languagemenu() is annyoing. And the idea of making available an overview of translations in the back-end is really great! Thank you very much for making Multilang_XH available! I haven't tested Multilang_XH so far, but I was planning to use it in the near future.

In a thread in the german forum a user reported problems with pagedata in combination with Menumanger and Multilang_XH. As Menumanger2010a is in widespread use, and no problems are known, I've decided to take a look at Multilang_XH to see, if this could be the problem. I shortly described what I found in the german thread.

Could you please have a look at this issue?
